Contents of Platiquemos DVD's. The DVD's contains various combinations of Platiquemos materials, including the "biggie" with everything we've published to date--which we believe it to be the most useful single collection of Spanish learning materials in one place available. The full DVD contains 3.51GB of material : the complete Platiquemos program (1400 pages of text and 54 hours of audio) see here and here; Español Rápido (about 600 pages and 7 hours of audio); Cantemos, (73 traditional and modern songs with translations and notes of points of linguistic or cultural significance); and our new
E-book totalling 219 pages with over 150 jokes and 50 cartoons, (likewise with translations and notes), false cognates [very important to learn], and a selection of colloquialisms and "cusswords" (the "cusswords are included not for you to learn to use, but because you will hear them and need to know what's being said).

Please note:

You are purchasing a data DVD. This DVD will not "play" in the kind of DVD players like you use to view movies on your TV. It can only be used in a computer with a functioning DVD reader.

In Windows, insert the DVD in the DVD drive. When you open this drive, you will see a file entitled "Platiquemos DVD". which when opened will reveal three subfolders. While the material can be used directly from the DVD, we recommend downloading it to your computer. The main folder can usually be downloaded in its entirety, but with some systems it may be necessary to download the subfolders individually. Once this is done you can download the audio to any mp3 compatible player; print the text (we recommend that you print as needed, not all at once).

For downloaders. We strongly recommend that you backup the downloaded material somewhere other than your computer's hard drive (on a DVD for those who have DVD burners, or on a series of CD´s for those who don´t. If you lose the files for some reason, and want another download opportunity, we will have to charge a nominal $15.00 fee. This isn´t to punish you, but setting up downloads does take time and effort.

Guarantee: Since the DVD's are easy to copy, we're unable to provide a refund guarantee (if there is a problem with a physical DVD, we'll replace it of course. Likewise, if there are problems with downloads, we'll work you through them.) Depending on the circumstances, we may make exceptions to the "no refund policy".

While we know you wouldn´t, some others (God bless their larcenous souls) have indeed successfully pulled this trick.
