Thank you for your interest in learning Spanish. My wife, who works with me in teaching Spanish, is from Spain; and I have lived several years in Spain. I am delighted to participate in helping Americans learn the other principal language of our hemisphere. Whether you want to learn Spanish for present or future business or professional reasons, or to open new vistas in your personal life, I'd like to help you.
Our program, developed by the U.S. Government to train diplomats and with a five-decade track record of success, is designed to bring students from beginner status to real proficiency (see chart for proficiency levels) as rapidly as possible. If we don't have a class that would be suitable for you, I can arrange a program of individual instruction for you. The fact that the Platiquemos program is accompanied by extensive audio (five or six compact disks per level) resources makes it particularly adaptable to individualized study. Please contact me, and we can work out a suitable arrangement.
For groups, such as businesses, hospitals, schools, government agencies, etc., special rates can be arranged, schedules can be custom-tailored to meet your needs, and classes can be held at your location. We are also able to offer up to 24 graduate credits from Adams State College of Colorado. The Platiquemos program is approved for three credits per Level, and these credits are particularly beneficial to educators. Call or e-mail for details.
Opportunities are also available for study in Mexico and Guatemala at cooperating schools, using the same program, either individually or in groups. If you are interested in study abroad, information about the schools is here.
